Sky Cheng

Born and raised in Hong Kong, educated in the USA. I work across product design, engineering, and global supply chain — the full arc from a sketch to a manufactured object.

I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hartford, then a Master of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute. That mix — an engineer’s rigor, a designer’s eye — is how I approach everything.

Hong Kong is a land of in-between. It built its identity out of a hybrid instead of trying to resolve it, and that is the sensibility I carry into design: absorb what arrives, adapt it honestly, and never flatten it to be understood.

I believe design should be emotional, fun, creative, and full of empathy.
